We are excited to share news of our first Innovation Network of Networks event, at which leading representatives from science and innovation clusters came together in Milton Keynes in March to discuss the untapped innovative potential of the region.
The Innovation Network of Networks was set up to build on the region’s strong innovation ecosystems by finding opportunities for networking and regional collaboration, and cross-promoting activities.
In the first meeting, facilitated by Cambridge Cleantech and Oxfordshire Greentech, attendees discussed the region’s shared priorities and goals, and the opportunities for networks to collaborate and address these. The group also discussed the region’s biggest challenges across funding, resources, global markets requiring scale, supply chains and connectivity, and the role networks could play in helping to eliminate them.
Thank you to all those who participated in the event. Their frank and constructive contributions set the standard for future engagement and made the first meeting a resounding success. We look forward to meeting new partners, and continuing the conversation around network leadership and regional innovation capacity. Our next meeting will be in July, in Cambridgeshire.
Commenting on the first meeting, David Legg, INNOVATE UK, Manager, London & South East of England Place and Levelling Up said, "really enjoyed the first network of network’s meeting. I found it incredibly useful to meet and learn about what others are involved with across the Oxford to Cambridge region. It was an excellent demonstration of the power of bringing everyone together to collaborate, knowledge share and learn something new.”
