Message from our Chair, Dipesh J Shah CBE
We’re delighted to present our Annual Review 2023-24 which captures the remarkable achievements of the Partnership in encouraging collaboration, developing robust evidence base and advocating for the region on a national and international stage. Our commitment to environmental sustainability, with updated Environment Principles and projects at landscape scale, runs through everything that we do demonstrating that a thriving economy must go hand in hand with a healthy and resilient environment.
The extraordinary potential of this region can shape a future where innovation, sustainability, and inclusivity converge to create lasting prosperity for all.
I thank our Board and our array of stakeholders and partners for everything they have done to support this important agenda. I am equally grateful to the Partnership team for their unrelenting endeavours to progress the work of the Partnership. It has been a remarkable year.

This coming year will bring change for how Government supports pan-regional collaboration and funds the type of work we do. Alongside the Budget statement, Government announced a minded-to decision to cease funding for all PRPs subject to a consultation. That consultation is live and closes on 16 December. In it, it asks all Partners – from the Local Authorities and Business about the impact that this decision would have on them. We urge you to fully consider that question and, if you are minded to, to submit your response.
