The Oxford to Cambridge Partnership has appointed ekosgen to assist its next phase of international trade and investment activities.
ekosgen, part of GC Insight, is working with the Partnership to develop a compelling value proposition for the region to unlock international and private sector investment for the region's innovation-led economy, underpinned by environmentally sustainable and inclusive growth. ekosgen will lead a team of consultants including Avison Young, Optimised Environments (OPEN) and Glass AI to deliver this project.
The project will initiate a region-wide investment portfolio, creating a digital atlas of projects and strategic collaborations to match prospective investors to local investment opportunities. The Atlas will aid prospective investors' decision-making by acting as an interactive database that will provide the user with information about local strengths, opportunities and key existing assets.
The project commenced in May 2023. The summary of all project phases are set out below.
Expression of Interest
The Partnership is seeking to identify the most impactful, strategically important and innovative investment opportunities to include within the Atlas. A diverse range of investment opportunities are being sought: from the development and commercialisation of new technologies and services, to landscape-scale environmental improvements, to capital investment in real estate.
The expression of interest is the first step in developing the Atlas. The first EoI phase closed on 16 October 2023. The team is now reviewing the submissions against the criteria.
For information about the process and criteria, you can download the Investment Atlas Expression of Interest proforma guidance document.
If you have any questions about the EOI process, please contact Placi Espejo, Innovation and Economy Lead at the Oxford to Cambridge Partnership.
A live Q&A document and further information about the project prioritisation process will be published shortly.
