November 2023 All Partner Conference
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first All Partner Conference, to the speakers, panellists and facilitators.
In his opening address Chairman, Dipesh J Shah OBE reflected on his first couple of months as Chair: “I’ve been struck by the determination of our outstanding local leaders, our world-leading universities and the thriving science and technology clusters ranging from large to small enterprises, to come together and uplift the profile of the region both within the UK and internationally, to propel the innovation led economy in a manner which is environmentally progressive and importantly, inclusive for the communities that we all serve.”
Our first All-Partner Conference was a day for decision makers to come together, work together and commit to pan-regional collaboration that unlocks, as one conference delegate so aptly suggested, ‘the power of radical partnership.’
Workshops:
Here’s an overview of what happened at the AUG-hosted session, The power of universities: driving green innovation and skills for a sustainable future. This session emphasised the potential of the Oxford to Cambridge region in becoming pioneers in addressing global environmental challenges by fostering collaboration, inclusivity, and sustainability across academia, industry and communities. Watch a Student Panel video, in which students highlight some of the key themes important to them, and where they consider what the environment may like in 2050.
